John Vogel | John is a PhD student working on planar battery measurement devices and analysis of lithium-ion battery electrodes. He joined the group in March of 2014. |
Derek Clement | Derek is a MS student working on electroplating and fabrication techniques of planar devices that characterize battery electrodes. He joined in March 2014. |
Katy Dallon | Katy is a MS student working on the acoustic responses of impacts. She joined in November 2012. |
Jake Larsen | Jake is a MS student working on multichannel impact-echo data acquisition and signal processing. He joined the group in April of 2014. |
Jared Baxter | Jared Baxter is a PhD student who began his research in April of 2014. His research deals with Impedance Spectroscopy. Part of this research involves going to bridge decks in Utah, and measuring the impedance of the cement to determine the condition of the bridge. |
Jeff Barton | Jeff is a MS student who began his research in April of 2015. His research deals with vertical electrical impedance of reinforced concrete bridge decks. |
Ethan Yao | Ethan is a MS student who joined the group in December of 2016. His research deals with modeling battery film properties. |

Anthony Gillespie | Anthony is a Computer Engineering major. He began working with his group in May of 2015. His current work involves modeling the fabrication process of Lithium-ion batteries using molecular simulation software. |
Emilee Hardy | Emilee is majoring in Chemical Engineering. She began working with her research group in the spring of 2016. Her Research focuses on creating devices that can non-destructively measure the local conductivity of battery material. |
Hannah Knight | Hannah is majoring in Chemical Engineering. She started working with her group in February of 2016 Her research involves the study and testing of the ionic conductivity of battery electrodes |
Nick Bragg | Nick is majoring in Electrical Engineering. He joined his research group in the spring of 2017. Nick's focus is currently on calculating the impedance of bridge concrete and rebar by building printed circuit boards that measure the current running through a wire. |
Joseph Cassler | Joseph is an Electrical Engineering Major. He began working with his research group working in May of 2017. He is currently working on the acoustical analysis of battery films using a pulsed laser. |
Joshua Cordon | Joshua is Chemical Engineering major. He started working with his research group in Jan 2017. He focuses on using molecular modeling software to generate simulations of the manufacturing processes of a batter; processes such as stirring, coating, drying, and calendaring. |
Mavrik Thomas | Mavrik is an Electrical Engineering major, he started working with his group in April of 2017. His current research involves developing localization techniques with LIDAR and GPS. |
Sean Crawford | Sean is majoring in Electrical Engineering. He began working in his group in May of 2017. His work primarily focuses on cleanroom processing of battery probes. |
Jarom Sederholm | Jarom is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. He began working with his group in November of 2016. His current research focuses on electronic testing of battery films. |
Enoch Boekweg | Enoch is majoring is Electrical Engineering. He joined his research group in May of 2017. He is currently helping develop a way to localize a moving vehicle by way of optic flow sensors. |
James Chandler | James is majoring is Electrical Engineering. He joined his research group in May of 2019. He is currently helping automate a method to localize mechanical properties of multilayer films using laser interferometry. |
Kris Ward | Kris is majoring is Electrical Engineering. He joined his research group in May of 2019. He is currently working on automating an ionic conductivity measurement system. |
